Privacy Policy
Last updated 30 October 2026.
1. Who we are
This website is run by Oscar Bowditch-Brown, trading as EOS Melbourne, ABN 26 399 899 485, Melbourne, VIC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and its giveaway, and how we handle it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
2. What we collect
- When you enter the giveaway: your full name, business name, phone number and email address, your annual revenue range, what’s wrong with your current website and, if we ask, whether you’d like to refer a friend. Your entry also carries a referral code made for you, the referral code of whoever sent you the link (if anyone), and the consent line under the form’s button.
- When we confirm your entry: we text you (or call, if you gave a landline) and note whether you replied. Your reply stays in our phone’s messages.
- By email or phone: whatever you choose to tell us.
- When you visit: the standard server logs our host keeps (IP address, browser type and the pages requested), and what the Meta Pixel records (section 4).
3. How we use it
We use your information to:
- run the giveaway: confirm your entry, count bonus entries, choose the winner and runner-up, and tell them
- contact you about the giveaway and our services, by text, email or phone, as you agreed when you entered
- measure and improve our ads on Facebook and Instagram
- keep the records the law requires us to keep
You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time, by replying STOP to one of our texts or emailing oscar@eosmelbourne.com. We don’t sell, rent or trade personal information.
4. Cookies and tracking
This website uses the Meta Pixel, code from Meta that records that you visited and, if you enter, that you entered, along with your IP address and browser and device details. It sets Meta’s cookies on this site (_fbp, and _fbc if you came from one of our ads).
When you enter, our server also tells Meta, through Meta’s Conversions API, so Meta can match your entry to the ad you saw. It sends your IP address, browser details and Meta’s cookie IDs as they are, and your email address, phone number, name and referral code hashed (turned into a code that can’t be read back). If you confirm your entry, we tell Meta that too, with the same hashed details. Meta handles this under its own privacy policy. To limit it, you can change your ad preferences in Facebook or Instagram, or block or clear cookies in your browser.
Apart from the Meta Pixel’s, this website sets no cookies. Your browser keeps your referral code, and the code of the link you came through, in its local storage, so a referral still counts if you come back later. They stay on your device until you clear your browser’s data. The fonts and videos are served from this website rather than a third-party server.
5. Who we share it with
We use four service providers. Each one receives only what it needs to do its job:
- Resend. Delivers giveaway entries from this website to our inbox. Receives: Everything you type into the entry form. Their privacy policy.
- Vercel. Hosts this website and keeps a copy of every entry, stored in Sydney. Receives: Your entry, and server logs of the pages requested. Their privacy policy.
- Google Workspace. Our email, where entries arrive. Receives: Your entry, and any email you send us. Their privacy policy.
- Meta. The company behind Facebook and Instagram. Runs the Meta Pixel and Conversions API described in section 4. Receives: Your visit, your entry and whether you confirmed it, with your contact details hashed. Their privacy policy.
We don’t give your information to anyone else unless you ask us to or the law requires it.
6. Information stored overseas
Entries saved by this website are stored in Sydney, but the providers above may also store and process data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. By entering, you acknowledge that your information may be handled there under each provider’s own privacy policy.
7. Keeping it secure
Your information is kept in password-protected business accounts with the providers above, and access is limited to EOS Melbourne. No system is completely secure, but we don’t copy entries into spreadsheets or other systems beyond the ones listed here.
8. How long we keep it
We keep entries and enquiries until you ask us to delete them. If you become a client, we keep invoices and payment records for five years, which is what the ATO requires, even if you ask us to delete everything else.
9. Accessing, correcting or deleting your information
Email oscar@eosmelbourne.com to see what we hold about you, correct it or ask us to delete it. You don’t need to give a reason and it costs nothing. We’ll respond within 30 days.
10. Complaints
If you think we’ve mishandled your information, email us first and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
11. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
12. Contact
